We all love the Reel Inn. So many memories. My first date venue, my daughter's 13th birthday...dinners after a long day of hiking. Please return, we love you and are completely devastated to see the gaping space where you stood and thrived.

In the face of unimaginable loss, I want to remind you of the incredible impact you've had on our community. Your business was never just a place--it was a home away from home for so many of us. The warmth of your staff, the mouthwatering food, and the genuine courtesy you showed to every customer made you stand out in ways few can. Though the recent fires have taken away your physical space, they can never take away the spirit, resilience, and love that built your business in the first place. You have a community standing with you, ready to support you as you rise from the ashes. We believe in you because you've given us so much to believe in. We can't wait to see you rebuild and shine brighter than ever. The world needs your kindness, your flavors, and your passion--now more than ever. We're here for you, cheering you on every step of the way. You've got this, and we're all eagerly waiting for the day we can walk through your doors again. With love and gratitude, Gaby

When I visited Malibu with some friends I ate there twice I loved it especially love the salmon spread so much so that on the way out of Malibu I grabbed another tub of it I just saw on the news that it's been completely destroyed and it makes my heart hurt. It was probably one of my favorite places in Malibu because it had a gorgeous Ocean view and a lot of places did in Malibu. I'm so sad that this iconic place is gone but I'm glad I got to enjoy it.

*I'm Reeling in Sadness & Sorrow* Tragic news about one of my all-time favorite seafood restaurants being completely destroyed from the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire storm. Been going here for over 30 years...ever since they opened, and have several fond memories and fantastic meals with loved ones, family & friends through the years. Always loved how this casual seafood gem on the PCH coastline was never filled with any pretentiousness and attitudes were left at the door...and Reel Inn was shared by not just us locals, but also Californians and tourists too. As a Westside LA native who also lived on the coast for many years, I don't write reviews for all my favorite spots. But the OG Reel Inn on PCH in Malibu will always have a special place in my heart. I pray for all those whose lives have been affected by this tragedy...while losing their restaurant, jobs and livelihood... and you're able to get through these difficult times. Once the dust has settled, I hope the amazing team behind this iconic establishment are able to comeback stronger than ever. Life is so precious ~~ savor it & loved ones. Because this one really hurts. Stay Strong Malibu & Pacific Palisades. We all love you.

I really loved how casual this place is. You come in and order at the window and then find a place to sit until your name is called. It's no frills, but absolutely perfect for an area where the restaurants tend to be a little more fancy. I love that you can choose your fish and how you want it cooked. I went with grilled shrimp and side of coleslaw and fried. Seriously perfect. My friend went with Cajun style catfish. Relaxing and easy!

After exploring the Getty Museum, we were in the mood for some seafood. Our aunt took us here and I'm happy she did! The oysters were really good, the fries and fried potatoes were delicious and the fish was cooked well. The fried shrimp was amazing. The veggies were a little undercooked but they were still tasty. Great place to stop and eat at!

Popped in for a beer after the beach. Of course, people know this place for seafood which is amazing. We didn't eat as we had a pretty big late lunch earlier. There's a lot right out as well as street parking if needed. They have a good selection of fresh seafoods. Specials on the board as well as tacos which is amazing. You order at the counter and wait for your name to called for your order. They have both indoor and outdoor eating.

Excellent for a beachside diner--lots of options for fresh fish and well cooked. Naturally the vibe is pretty ramshackle, but that's to be expected. I had my fish Cajun fried and was very pleased with that choice.

Having a lady tell "stay in line it's worth it!" sets the bar high walking in to a restaurant Came here around 7pm straight from the beach Saturday night. Keep your parking spot if it's not too far! Parking lot of Reel Inn was pretty full, I'm not even sure where i parked was an actual spot lol Be ready to wait in line but it actually does move fast for 10 people ahead of you. Anything you get comes with sides. They call you by name over their megaphone but seating in the back i had to come up front to make sure Clam chowder was by FAR the best thing i had and those crackers 10/10. I tasted the Cajun mahi mahi it was ok. My shrimp tacos probably needed more sauce because the bites with the sauce were bomb, without was pretty bland. Mexican rice was another ok at best side. I expected a little more in regard to food and flavor but plenty of seating. Multiple nice patio areas. Fresh fish, liquor and dessert options as well

Parking ~ It's Malibu people, so be prepared to turn on the "ROCK STAR Button", which means parking is magical if you have a positive mindset. Or, parking sucks if you are a negative nanny! Entrance ~ The restaurant is on the right side if you are going north on Pacific Coast Highway or on the left if you are driving south on Pacific Coast highway. Be prepared for the left turn any time of the day, or find a way to enter from the north on PCH. Food Service ~ Excellent but be patient while standing g in the line, and the wait is worth it if you like seafood. Food ~ I ordered the meal with grilled sea bass, vegetables, and coleslaw. I'd order the mashed potatoes next time because they looked delicious. I plan on returning again when the moment arrives. Definitely a 4+ /5 if the line was faster... a 5/5!!! But, hey, it's Malibu!
